| Obtain two PLAIN FLEET ENEMAS from any pharmacy (over the counter). They are packaged in a green and white box. | One hour before leaving home: Read instructions on emema before use. Give yourself the first enema. Hold as long as possible, up to 10 min before expelling. Allow yourself to rest for a few minutes before using the second enema. Again, hold as long as possible, up to 10 minutes before expelling. |

How do I know if my prep is working?
First you should understand how an enema works. An enema is solution that is introduced into the rectum to cause expulsion of fecal matter. You may experience some cramping & bloating. Please attempt to hold the enema as long as possible, up to 10 minutes for quality results. If no fecal matter is expulsed for 20 minutes after the second enema, please consult us for further instructions.
If you think that your prep may not be working or have any questions, please call our office at 303-604-5000 and ask to speak with your physician’s office nurse. If you are completing your prep after normal business hours, you will be prompted to call the on-call physician.
