Leah
Sebade

Leah will join Gastroenterology of the Rockies in November 2026. She will see patients at our GI clinic in Lakewood. She’s also part of our female gastro services team comprised of female GI specialists.
Leah is nationally board certified by the NCCPA-with a focus in gastroenterology. Leah began practicing medicine in 2025 – with patients in the Denver area.
Before focusing on gastroenterology, Leah practiced emergency medicine and urgent care. In those roles, she evaluated and treated a wide variety of acute and urgent medical conditions, including patients with gastrointestinal symptoms.
In terms of her clinical work, her approach is grounded in providing patients with a personalized experience centered on compassionate care. She wants to help patients feel informed and comfortable when they’re in her care. However, she understands it can be challenging for some patients to open up. Either way, her hope is that patients feel at ease when asking difficult questions about symptoms or when discussing treatment options.
What led to her career in healthcare?
Leah’s interest in medicine began in high school when she was accepted into an academy that taught her about the complexities of human anatomy. The experience sparked her fascination with the human body and its complex systems. Eventually it inspired her to pursue a career in medicine where she could provide care to patients.
Leah graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, in Normal, IL.
She continued her education at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, where she earned a master’s degree in Medicine—Physician Assistant Studies.
Why gastroenterology?
That early interest in the human body inspired Leah to pursue gastroenterology because of the specialty’s diverse range of digestive conditions. She enjoys working with a variety of patients – whether they seek her care for complex or chronic digestive conditions.
Leah has a particular interest in helping patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This stems in part from a family member’s battle with complicated ulcerative colitis. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of the challenges that patients with IBD must face—not to mention its impact on their families.
Leah said this experience has strengthened her desire to help others navigate their own health challenges. And she’s honored to be a part of the patients’ care team.
