Gastroenterology of the Rockies Welcomes New Physician Dr. Simranjit (Sim) Bedi

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is proud to announce that Dr. Simranjit (Sim) Bedi will be joining the practice on July 19th, 2021.

A native of northeastern Ohio, Dr. Bedi graduated from The Ohio State University, where he majored in Biology and minored in Business Administration. He attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. After completing residency in Internal Medicine at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, he had the privilege of serving as Chief Resident of the program. He then went on to complete his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Bedi had extensive exposure to complex cases in both general gastroenterology and hepatology. He worked with renowned physicians at Einstein’s high-volume liver transplant center, where he managed patients with advanced liver disease along with pre- and post-transplant evaluations. Dr. Bedi also trained under the world’s leading expert in gastroesophageal reflux disease and Barrett’s esophagus.

Dr. Bedi served as principal investigator of numerous scientific studies and is the author of multiple peer-reviewed original articles and book chapters. He has had the honor of presenting his research at national Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology conferences. His main research interests are in quality improvement and increasing access to care.

Dr. Bedi specializes in all aspects of gastroenterology and digestive diseases such as colon cancer screening and reflux disease. He performs a large volume of gastroenterology procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.

Dr. Bedi sees patients at Gastroenterology of the Rockies Boulder, Lafayette and Longmont locations, and is on the Medical Staff at Boulder Community Health, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
