October 2021 Newsletter

Fall is here, the leaves are changing, and the days are growing shorter. I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy the fall weather, cheer on your favorite football team, and are fully planning your Halloween costume to conclude an exciting month.

While COVID-19 continues to be a challenge, I am grateful and proud to serve with our resilient colleagues who remain committed to serving our patients every day! Teams who possess and cultivate the authentic emotions of gratitude, compassion, and pride consistently perform better than teams that don’t possess these traits. Additionally, teams who do possess gratitude, compassion, and pride also report greater social connectiveness, greater career satisfaction, and are generally happier and more fulfilled in life.

Despite our operational challenges, GI of the Rockies continues to grow and thrive. For the second month in a row, GI of the Rockies set a new record of patient encounters and we welcomed 15 new colleagues to our team. Welcome all of you! I hope our values of patient-centered care, integrity, compassion, innovation, and teamwork resonate with all of you and you feel pride in our mission of advancing digestive health and quality of life for all our patients.

In closing, we are really excited about outfitting our endoscopy centers with GI Genius®. This is an artificial intelligence technology that will assist our physicians with detecting more pre-cancerous polyps and subsequently further reduce the likelihood of these lesions developing into colon cancer. Look for our blog about GI Genius!

Stay well!
