“Peak Performers Award” Awarded to Dr. Mahnke

One hundred and thirteen of the Rocky Mountain Region’s top hospital-based providers were recognized for their work at the 8th annual Rocky Mountain Hospital Medicine Symposium (RMHMS) held in the Four Seasons Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center on October 4, 2010. Dr. Daus Mahnke of Gastroenterology of the Rockies was a recipient of the Peak Performers Award for his work in gastroenterology.

The Peak Performers Awards recognized clinical excellence among hospitalists, subspecialists, nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants. Online voting was made available to over 100,000 providers who were asked to vote for their colleagues that embodied the characteristics of “team-based care, professionalism and clinical excellence.”

“The goal of the Peak Performers Awards,” explained Dr. Jeff Glasheen, RMHMS Course Director, “is to recognize excellence among those who work primarily in the hospital setting and do so much to enhance and ensure that quality care is delivered in the Rockies.”

Peak Performers were honored in front of over 650 colleagues during a special ceremony at the RMHMS.
