Dr. Raju is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. After completing his internal medicine residency at Western Reserve Care System in Ohio, he served as a chief resident in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He then went on to complete a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation. Dr. Raju received an additional year of training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at Maine Medical Center. He also completed further sub-specialization training in therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Because Dr. Raju is uniquely skilled, his expertise in advanced therapeutics is highly sought after.
Dr. Raju has served as a principal investigator of numerous scientific studies and is the author or co-author of multiple peer-reviewed original articles and book chapters. He has had the honor of presenting his research at multiple national and international conferences. Dr. Raju also serves as an article reviewer for several gastroenterology journals.
Dr. Raju has received multiple honors including being elected by his peers as one of the best gastroenterologists for inclusion in “Guide to America’s Top Physicians,” Consumers’ Research Council of America and 5280 Top Doc in 2018 and 2023.
Dr. Raju is considered an expert in pancreaticobiliary disorders and complex therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP and EUS. He is also currently the medical director for endoscopic ultrasound at Boulder Community Hospital. He also served as chairman of gastroenterology at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Raju specializes in all aspects of gastroenterology and digestive diseases such as colon cancer screening and reflux disease. He performs a large volume of gastroenterology procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, biliary procedures, EUS and ERCP.
Dr. Raju sees patients at the Gastroenterology of the Rockies in Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, and Broomfield locations. He is on the Medical Staff at Boulder Community Health — and Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Hosptial, Lutheran Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
