We’re pleased to welcome Sara English, RDN, a registered dietitian who joined Gastroenterology of the Rockies in the fall of 2026. Sara’s clinical approach emphasizes practical education and motivational interviewing. She takes great interest in helping patients identify achievable goals. She does this by providing encouragement and nutrition education so that patients have the support they need to make meaningful, sustainable changes.
Before working with patients as a registered dietitian, Sara obtained a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. Upon graduation, she completed her dietetic internship with Sodexo, a multinational food services and facilities management company—she then finished her rotation in England with the UK Armed Forces. While finishing her internship, Sara accumulated additional practicum hours in New York and California.
Background and Experience
Sara began her career as a registered dietitian in 2009. Her approach with patients is to meet them where they are and help them achieve the health outcomes they desire. Sara accomplishes this by offering nutrition support, guidance and education through a lens of compassion and care. She’s adept at listening to patients and asking questions that help patients feel heard.
Sara brings extensive experience and has helped patents in the following areas.
Weight Management & Obesity: Medical weight loss, bariatric nutrition, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
GI & Nutrition Support: Nutrition counseling for patients with reflux, IBD, dietary restrictions, and complex nutritional needs.
Chronic Disease Management: Medical nutrition therapy for patients with complex medical conditions, including liver and kidney disease.
