Please welcome Shalini Jain, MD, board-eligible gastroenterologist. Dr. Jain will begin practicing at Gastroenterology of the Rockies in our Lakewood and Boulder GI clinics starting January of 2027.
Dr. Jain will also join our female gastro services team with fellow colleagues at Gastroenterology of the Rockies.
Areas of Specialty
Dr. Jain specializes in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Her clinical interests include colorectal cancer prevention and screening, motility disorders, liver disease, GI bleeding and women’s unique gastroenterology needs.
She focuses on listening intently to her patients, ensuring that each individual need is fully addressed. Driven by a desire to make a lasting impact on patient quality of life, she blends her clinical expertise with strong communication skills to deliver tailored, compassionate care.
Education and Training Background
Dr. Jain graduated with Dean’s List honors with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from University of Colorado in Boulder. She then graduated Cum Laude from St. George’s University School of Medicine, receiving her clinical training from key academic teaching hospitals across New Jersey.
She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she served as House Staff President and chief fellow.
Outside the Exam Room
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Jain has a strong interest in adopting new innovations that improve patient access to high-quality gastroenterology care. With a strong background in endoscopy, Dr. Jain is highly skilled in diagnosing gastrointestinal malignancies and premalignant conditions. She applies her techniques through a compassionate, patient-centered approach that prioritizes comfort and peace of mind at every step.
When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Jain embraces the active Colorado lifestyle through hiking, skiing, and swimming. Her passion for adventure extends to international travel and scuba diving, while her quieter moments at home are spent baking and spending time with her family. Most of all, she treasures her daily walks with her dog, Moose.
