Dr. Prichard is a gastroenterologist with certifications in internal medicine and physician nutrition specialist. He served as chief resident of internal medicine during his last year of residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
After residency, he pursued training in parenteral nutrition and Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) at Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA. He went on to complete his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Midwestern University/Mountain Vista Medical Center Program in Mesa, AZ, where he was chief fellow during his 3rd year of training.
Dr. Prichard has received numerous teaching and research accolades during residency and fellowship. He has participated in numerous scientific studies, while being co-author on multiple peer-reviewed articles in addition to multiple presentations at regional and national meetings. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Dr. Prichard is considered a specialist in screening for reflux and esophageal diseases, malnutrition, parenteral nutrition, and Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS). He is knowledgeable in all aspects of digestive disease such as colon cancer screening, reflux disease, chronic liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. He performs a large volume of endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, and video capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Prichard sees patients at Gastroenterology of the Rockies Northglenn and Lakewood locations. He’s also on the medical staff at Boulder Community Health, Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Hospital, Intermountain Health Lutheran Medical Center, and Intermountain Health St. Joseph’s Hospital.
